The shoe is beautifully made and sole is comfortable when trying on. Runs a size larger than what I normally wear.
Love the shoes. Got them because I needed something for standing around at HHN at universal studios. Read the comments about going up a size so I did. I’m a 7.5 usually but decided on the 8.5-9 wide. Tried them on Sunday when I received them and loved that I had space to keep my feet breathing and I could still keep them on while walking. This was without socks and just around my house. I weigh 115lbs -120 (fluctuating) and my feet are slimmed. So I was worried about the wide portion.. but I had no issue with it. My toes or heels didn’t rub.The greatest part about this was the way the shoe took away the implications you would get on normal ground or with regular shoes. The shoes feel like they’re keeping you from noticing the actual ground. While the shoe may be pressing into the ground, your feet are not pressing with them. It gives you the impression that your legs are moving but your feet are stable. And I really love that!! Because it’s taking away the work your feet would normally do to keep up with moving with the ankle and legs.. and keep up with moving with itself. The only thing working while you’re walking in these shoes is from the ankle up. It doesn’t even feel like I need to sit down. Standing is relaxing and balanced.I ran in them to see if the shoes would come off, they didn’t! I tried one on with a sock and the other without to see the difference while I walked. Not much difference except the sock foot was more slippery.Considering I’ll be working the Halloween horror nights event and I’ll be standing up for so many hours I knew I needed something that wouldn’t make my frame sink into my feet when I started to get more into the night and I’ve been standing in the same spot for so long. So I got these.Love the design that I choose and love that I can just wipe them clean.I’ll let you all know the update because my first night at HHN is going to be Tuesday for preview night. And then I’ll update again after HHN is over with.So far so good!!If you view my photos.. starting from the box photoPhoto 2(after the box photo) is what the shoes look like sock and no sock.Photo 3 with my sock leg raised is just showing the show from another angle.Photo 4 is the shoes from pivoted angle.Photo 5 is me showing what the shoe looks like if I let it dangle from my foot on the heel side. Just to show that even with my slim foot it doesn’t come off.Photo 6 is a front view of my foot dangling and the shoe loose. Did not come off and it also gives insight on the room and air that gets through.Photo 7 is a top view of the shoes.UPDATE:Sorry for the delay in my update! So I wore them for HHN and the biggest thing was that the shoes don’t do well on unleveled terrain. Like a road or pavement that’s not completely leveled. The shoes also get hot… so during the day my feet were hot, but at night I was in heaven because it was cold.Because I’m used to normal shoes, these shoes needed some getting used to in terms of the flatness. Normal shoes reach up into your arch and curvature. These shoes remain in a flat position so your foot is pressing down into them like it would if walking on hardwood floors. It’s a weird mix up because it feels good but when you take the shoes off, your feet are sore because of the adjustment happening to your feet. I don’t recommend wearing these right away for hours at a time like I did. Standing for hours at a time in a new shoe that requires different flexing of the foot should be done in small increments. Like if you are walking around your house tidying or doing dinner. That way you can slowly train your foot to recognize what you’re walking and standing in. I think my soreness was coming from the hours of standing and moving around I did at a theme park with different ground types and levels. Just be mindful and take all of that into consideration.Overall, the shoes are great and they helped me! Definitely recommend!!
Longtime Dansko fan, the shoes fit exactly as expected (they're always a little tight at first and then loosen up, so I ordered the same size as comfortable current danksos and these seem on track for the tight-at-first adjustment period). The normal 38 is comfortable for a wide-ish size 8 foot including thick socks. This seller is fantastic- the shoes arrived earlier than expected, nicely packaged, and with super clear instructions for returns. These shoes are AMAZING. The rose gold is very pink in natural light and a little more rose-goldy in some interior lighting. They are super bright and shiny and got a lot of compliments on the street. If you need the comfort of Danksos but the usual styles are too sedate for you, the rose gold is a showstopper. Particularly good for long shift work where you'll be around kids or other people who will be excited to see something fun.
Like the color, material and fit. First pair and like the arch support. Sizing is confusing as some people like these to fit very loose while others like them to fit tighter on the heel. Was told there should be a fingers width from foot to back of clog. Easy on and off. Like look with jeans.
Have wanted Danskos for awhile, but the price was somewhat high for me at the time.I would have paid the the original price, but wasn't able to. Caught them on sale and purchased 4 pairs. So worth the investment as I have back and leg ailments and these shoes, as promised in the descripttion and by others whom own them, they are the perfect shoe. very, very suppotive
I have had many pairs of Danskos, I absolutely love them for the support and comfort. I started wearing them during my surgical rotations in school 17 years ago and have more pairs than I care to admit. When I saw the rose gold I had to have them. I always take a 39 European, which is what these are, but they're a little big on me, which is generally not the case. I don't think I could go down to a 38 though. Anyway, they're still gorgeous and I'll wear heavier socks with them.
I purchased a wide width shoe AND sized up. I would have been fine with only the wide width. I like that half sizes are available in a wide width also. The soles are hard, but the arch support is truly there. Sturdy material. Easy to wipe off to keep clean. These look more professional for work than a sneaker (or similar shoe).
I purchased the honey distressed color and I think they are really pretty. While wearing them I was doing stuff in the kitchen and noticed that water droplets absorbed deeply instantly. It took a long time for them to dry (hours). Fortunately they didn't stain, and I was able to put some leather conditioner/waterproofing on them before they stained. They absorbed a lot of product, so they were very dry. I highly recommend doing this before you wear them if you are like me, and like your leather to look clean and not beat up, especially with water drops. Now that wide-leg pants are back in style, I love having a pair of these clogs again. They balance out the pant leg and give me a little extra height to keep the paint leg from dragging on the the ground. I think they are too expensive for what they are (Mine were $151 with tax), but I guess most things are these days. I had a pair a decade or so ago that lasted me for years and I think I only got rid of them because I had moved on in style. I hope these last as long as those did. Somehow they are comfortable, yet awkward and boxy at the same time. Hard to explain, but I'm really glad I decided to get them.
I love these shoes. They do run a bit large. I was unsure of the size to order since they are European sizing. I'm a solid 7 and I did order the 6.5-7 size 37 and am very glad I did as they are perfect. A 38 would have been way too big. Very sturdy will last me forever. Great instep support and I love the color /design. A win all the way around!
This is a most comfortable set of clogs and suits me for both professional and personal/casual wear. I am not new to Dansko clogs ; I have owned at least six pair, but these new ones are even better than the ones I have bought in the past.
